PROJECT DETAILS:

The Town of Bargersville is one of the fastest growing areas in Johnson County, Indiana. The Street Department was growing rapidly to care for more roads as the boundaries of the town continued to expand. The crews were working out of several different locations. The existing buildings were inadequate to serve the operations of this growing department. The Town of Bargersville selected LANCER+BEEBE to design its new building. The program pointed to the need for four vehicle garage bays and an office area with a conference room, break room, and locker room. The Street Department also required a large salt storage facility. The town desired an attractive building to meet the requirements of the overlay district in a cost effective manner. The design utilized two colors of face brick, cement board siding, and pre-finish metal roof. The salt storage facility was designed to accommodate the large equipment used in operation. The interior walls were constructed of poured in place concrete, while the exterior was clad in face brick to compliment the main building. The New Street Department Building for the Town of Bargersville is effective and efficient in fulfilling its purpose.
